I am a specialist in the financial management of building projects with extensive experience in multiple family housing through the management and construction of nursing and senior citizens housing. I ensure that projects get built on time and on budget.

 

Jean’s career in healthcare spans over 30 years and most Canadian provinces. He started as a physiotherapist in Quebec and New Brunswick. Soon, he was attracted to position with more impact and reach, and took a management position in an Ontario home healthcare organization. While working in home healthcare, he was asked to lead the team responsible for computerizing the core processes of the organization across Canada.

 

From homecare, Jean was invited to join the nursing home division of the organization as Administrator of a home in Ottawa, and later as Regional Director for Eastern Ontario. In those roles, he was active in the Ontario Nursing Homes Association, as well as represented the organization in a number of collective bargaining with various trade unions.

In 2005, Jean joined an American company seeking to establish retirement homes in Quebec. In three years, three homes were built and operational. After 2008, he joined a large company of retirement homes as Vice-President Operations with responsibility for Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

 

In late 2011, he became the Managing Director of the largest group of Optometry clinics in the Ottawa area, the position he still holds today. During his tenure to date, the company almost double its capacity, changed its branding and operating structure and took a leadership role in the provision of optometry care in Ottawa.

 

Jean holds a Bachelor of Science Specialized in Physiotherapy, a Bachelor of Arts in Administration and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
